Far North Boulder House
BOULDER, COLORADO
New Construction
New construction custom home located in dakota ridge in far north boulder, colorado
This house was designed for a recently-retired couple relocating from the East Coast to Boulder, Colorado. Facing Boulder’s foothills to the west, the house captures these views from a number of levels and extends this landscape into the house.
This house was crafted to fit within the context of a neo-traditional neighborhood and to create a dynamic ecpression on a prominent street corner. The large, west-facing overhangs and trellis protect the interior from glare and the harsh western setting sun.
The interior of the house was designed for the homeowners to age in place, accommodating a number of accessible features including a small elevator. The large circulation paths are designed to allow for wheelchair access as well along with creating a dynamic interior landscape.
