During undergrad at Kentucky, I worked part-time for a few years in a small, local camera store in Lexington, Kentucky. I am still a pretty avid photographer, but being around all those cameras, eight hours a day, in a pretty sleepy, very low traffic store, really spurred me on. Most of all I wanted to get the hell out of the tiny store and use some of the cameras.

This is a photo of a small quarry and mine not far from Lexington. The flat ceilings and water-filled floors made for some really interesting if not odd photos. To say the place was a little scary was an understatement. I am not entirely sure, but I think I must of shot this with a Nikon FM.
