In the studio: new house project in Portland, Oregon

We have been engaged on the design of a new house in Portland, Oregon by returning clients who have relocated to that city.  The project includes an ADU, an accessory dwelling unit, which is located to the front of the structure.  The family's portion of the house is toward the rear of the property and surrounds the garden.

World's Smallest Skyscraper, Wichita Falls, Texas

Just off a bit from the main downtown area of Wichita Falls, Texas is the world's smallest skyscraper.  The Newby-McMahon Building was built in 1919 and its diminutive size is the outcome of a fraudulent investment scheme following a 1918 oil boom.
